In the News

“Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.), one of the bill’s 17 Republican co-sponsors in the Senate, wrote in a December editorial that the measure would effectively overrule the Biden administration’s ‘new woke standard.’” (Biden foster care rule draws GOP opposition, The Hill , 1/3/2024)

“‘Every American company that chooses to work in China is another opportunity for the Chinese Communist Party to achieve its goal of overpowering the United States,’ Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) said in a statement.”(Microsoft’s cozy AI ties with China raise eyebrows on Capitol Hill: ‘Make the world less safe’, New York Post , 12/26/2023)

“Senator Marco Rubio, a Republican from Florida, has spearheaded the campaign to scrutinise investments by Chinese companies in sectors deemed strategic by the US government such as batteries, semiconductors and critical minerals.” (Anti-China push in US Midwest a symptom of Biden’s dilemma, South China Morning Post , 12/26/2023)

“The Biden administration must immediately condemn these actions, make clear they will not be tolerated and expel Cuban diplomats from U.S. soil,” Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida told McClatchy. “Continued failure to treat Cuba like the tyrannical spying regime that it is only emboldens it.” (With presidential race looming, Cuba’s meddling in U.S elections must be taken seriously, Miami Herald , 12/24/2023)

This, Rubio stated, leaves only one of two astounding possibilities. Either a sizable cohort of top government officials is ‘crazy,’ or these individuals are revealing the ‘biggest story in human history.’ Given the caliber and stature of the officials involved, Rubio seems to doubt that such ‘serious people’ would simply ‘make something up.’” (2023: The year the US government started taking UFOs seriously, The Hill , 12/26/2023)
