Dear Fellow Floridian,

Although this week’s vote may have turned out differently than we wished, I am optimistic. I ran for leader with one mission: to fundamentally change how the Senate operates and upend the status quo so we can actually start representing the voters who put us here. When I announced, I said that we are in a moment where we need dramatic change. The American people confirmed that last week when they elected President Trump and Republicans took the majority in both chambers of Congress with a clear mandate.

Today, I want to thank my friend President Trump and the support I received from so many Americans from every corner of our country. I am truly humbled by the millions of Americans, and especially the incredible Floridians, who supported my run, and the many patriots who made their voices heard to demand change.

While it isn’t the result we hoped for, I will do everything possible to make sure Senate Republicans are successful in accomplishing President Trump’s agenda. The American people clearly want change in Washington to turn our economy around, end the inflation nightmare this administration has created, secure our borders and get our country back on track. When President Trump takes office in January, I am confident we will finally change course and end the Biden-Harris catastrophe that has plagued our country for the past four years.

Sen. Rick Scott on CPI Report: President Trump Will End the Biden-Harris Inflation Crisis

Following the latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) release from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), Senator Rick Scott released the below statement highlighting the need to implement substantive fiscal reforms in the new year to finally put an end to the ongoing inflation crisis fueled by the Biden-Harris administration’s reckless tax-and-spend agenda. October’s CPI data shows that there has been a significant rise in inflation during the Biden-Harris administration, with CPI increasing 2.6% percent over the year in October 2024—higher than last month. Since the Biden-Harris administration took office, inflation is up 20.7%.  

Senator Rick Scott said, “Since the Biden-Harris administration took office, inflation has skyrocketed more than 20% and its failed economic agenda has wreaked havoc on the American Dream. The American people clearly want change in Washington to turn our economy around and end the inflation nightmare this administration has created. When President Trump takes office in January, I am confident we will finally change course and end the Biden-Harris inflation catastrophe that has plagued families and their wallets for the past four years.”

Sen. Rick Scott Issues Weekly Update on Biden-Harris Price Hikes

Senator Rick Scott released a weekly update on his actions to address America’s debt crisis and rising inflation. As Floridians are struggling to make ends meet, reports from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed that the federal government’s key inflation indicators, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Producer Price Index (PPI), rose even more in October putting strain on the budgets of American families and small businesses. Since President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris took office, CPI inflation is up 20.7%, while PPI inflation has risen 20.5%.

Earlier this week, following the CPI report being released, Senator Rick Scott said, “Since the Biden-Harris administration took office, inflation has skyrocketed more than 20% and its failed economic agenda has wreaked havoc on the American Dream. The American people clearly want change in Washington to turn our economy around and end the inflation nightmare this administration has created.
