On Tuesday, as Vice Chairman of the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, I, along with Chairman Mark Warner (D-VA), sent a letter to Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Chairwoman Lina Khan requesting that the FTC formally investigate TikTok and its parent company, ByteDance. Read more here

On Tuesday, Senator Mike Braun (R-IN) and I sent a letter to the Senate Conference Committee members appointed to reach an agreement on the United States Innovation and Competition Actexpressing our concern with provisions in the bill that would make it more difficult to compete with the Chinese Communist Party, combat Beijing’s unfair trade practices, and incentivize domestic investment.
