BREC will vote on resolution condemning pre-primary contributions

Once again the Brevard Republican Executive Committee will vote on a resolution condemning interference in primary elections by RPOF. The RPOF has contributed in excess of $30,000 in incumbent John Tobia’s District 31 house race. Tobia faces challenger Lori Halbert in the primary. The vote will take place at the next BREC meeting on Thursday, August 12th at the Temple Israel at 7350 Lake Andrew Drive in Viera.
Judy Timothy elected Secretary at July meeting

Judy Timothy, one of the organizers of the very successful Space Coast Patriots group, was elected by acclimation to the position of Secretary at the July meeting. The Secretary position was vacated last month by Ruthie Montelione.
Timothy has made quite a name for herself as one of the chief organizers of the highly successful Space Coast Patriots group that means at the library in Cocoa. The group averages 60-75 people per month and all are dedicated to effecting change at the ballot box.
The Secretary position is one of the most critical in the BREC, as the Secretary is tasked with keeping track of both new members coming on the committee, and notifying and removing those who fall off because of absenteeism. The Secretary must also coordinate with RPOF and the Supervisor of Elections.

Annual BREC Golf Tournament is Tee’d Up at Duran

The second annual Brevard Republican Executive Committee (BREC) Golf Tournament will be Saturday, August 14th at the Duran Golf Club in Viera. Registration opens at 7am and the shotgun start begins at 8am. Cost is $70 per player and there is an optional lunch buffet for $20. The lunch is open to non-players at a cost of $25.
